The Perfect Steak

 
 

Ingredients

  • 6-8oz filet mignon

  • Kinder’s “The Steak Blend” seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Kerry Gold butter

  • 1-3 smashed garlic cloves

  • Optional: fresh rosemary or thyme


Instructions:

Bring steak to room temperature (about 30 minutes out of fridge). Pat steak dry and season generously with Kinder’s The Steak Blend seasoning. Heat pan on medium-high and add drizzle (or spray) of olive oil. Sear each side 2-3 minutes to form a crust. Lower heat to medium-low and add butter, garlic, rosemary/thyme. Tilt pan and spoon hot butter over the steak continuously for 2–3 more minutes, flipping once during this time. Transfer steak to cutting board and cover with tin foil. Let rest 5-10 minutes before slicing. For medium rare steak.
